Did you know that Georgia Tech's motto is "Progress & Service"? The Institute puts these words into action, starting with FASET orientation! Throughout the summer, the Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement is hosting a collection drive to benefit the Atlanta Mission, one of our neighboring community partners.
All families and students are encouraged to participate at their FASET session by bringing one of the items listed below to donate. The project will culminate with an on-campus service event on Friday, August 19 in the Ferst Center Lobby where incoming students will volunteer along-side upper class students, faculty, and staff to package donated goods and assemble Critical Needs Kits for delivery to the Atlanta Mission. This packaging event is a great way to get connected! We hope to see you there.
ADS has specifically requested the following items to fulfill the shelter’s most pressing needs in August:
- Shampoo (travel size)
- Conditioner (travel size)
- Lotion (travel size)
- Bar soap / Body wash (travel size)
- Liquid Hand Soap (with pump dispenser)
- Hand Sanitizer (large container)
- Band aids
- Toilet Paper
- Composition Notebooks
- Art Supplies (i.e. construction paper, glue, pipe cleaners, tape, etc)
